My friend Olivia recently approached me with an idea. She recently retired from gymnastics, something she’s been doing since a very young age, and wanted to do a photoshoot showcasing her talents — and crazy flexibility.
This was my very first studio shoot. As a photojournalist, I had never played around with softboxes, multiple lights, etc. I found it great to control and manipulate light, shadows, and textures as much as I wanted.
